DISCLAIMER STATEMENT
1) The Participant declares, under their own responsibility, to be in good health, to have no impediments to participating in hiking activities that take place in volcanic environments with potentially uneven paths, characteristic of such locations, and at varying altitudes. The Participant also declares to be equipped with gear they deem appropriate for the type of excursion they intend to undertake, and to release the Authorized Volcanological Guide and the association of professional guides of Etna Nord from any civil or criminal liability related to or resulting from the assessment of said physical fitness and the equipment used.
2) The Participant agrees to conduct themselves in accordance with principles of legality and civility during the excursion and not to engage in any behavior that may endanger their own or others’ safety. The Participant commits to following the behavioral instructions provided by the Authorized Volcanological Guide and to adhering to the technical choices connected to safety needs, including decisions on possible changes in the route or duration of the excursion, and agrees not to take any initiative that is not shared with or authorized by the Guides.
3) By signing this form, the Participant releases the Authorized Volcanological Guide and the association of professional guides of Etna Nord from any civil and criminal liability, including strict liability, for any injuries caused to themselves or third parties, and for any illnesses occurring during the entire duration of the excursion or resulting from the use of equipment. The Participant also releases the Etna Nord Volcanological Guides from any liability related to theft and/or damage of any personal belongings.
Pursuant to and for the purposes of Articles 1341 and 1342 of the Civil Code, the undersigned declares that they have carefully examined all the clauses contained in the above disclaimer statement and specifically approve all the points listed from No. 1) to No. 3).

Insurance Coverage
What the insurance covers:
1. Third-Party Liability (TPL)
Covers damages unintentionally caused to other people (clients, bystanders, third parties in general) during the course of professional activities:
Personal injury or death;
Damage to property or animals.
Policy limits:
€12,000,000 per claim;
€12,000,000 per person;
€12,000,000 for damage to property/animals.
2. Employers’ Liability (RCO)
Covers injuries sustained by collaborators, assistants, or other staff if the guide is held civilly liable (according to the Civil Code or labor laws).
Policy limits:
€6,000,000 per claim;
€6,000,000 per person.
3. Insured Activities
Includes all professional activities of Volcanological Guides and related roles, such as:
Excursions (including on snow or with skis);
Training courses, refresher courses, and aptitude tests;
Participation in documentaries or photo shoots;
Rope access and high-altitude work;
Leading expeditions and treks, including abroad;
Organizing events and promotional activities;
Participation in simulated or real rescue operations;
Activities on artificial walls, canyoning, via ferratas, etc.
4. Damages also covered in specific cases
Vehicles parked in the insured’s areas (deductible €500).
Personal belongings of collaborators (excluding theft/fire).
Damages from fire on the insured’s property affecting third parties.
Environmental damage from accidental pollution (up to €150,000).
Damages from incorrect processing of personal data (up to €50,000).
Damages caused by occasional participants or interns.
Liability of instructors for damages to students.
Liability for subcontractors and their potential accidents.
Activities abroad, excluding the USA, Canada, Mexico (with the option of a paid extension).
❌ What is not covered
Damages from theft or fire of entrusted items;
Damages to vehicles in circulation (requires dedicated car insurance);
Damages from willful misconduct;
Damages from unauthorized activities or those carried out by unqualified individuals.
Authorization for the Processing of Personal Data
Information pursuant to Art. 13 of Legislative Decree No. 196/03
The personal data of the participants in the excursion are processed in accordance with Legislative Decree No. 196 of June 30, 2003. Personal data is collected at the time of registration and is provided directly by the individuals concerned. Failure to provide personal data makes it impossible to accept the registration. The data is processed in paper and electronic form by the Etna Nord Volcanological Guides for all purposes related to the organization of the event, including providing information about the participants to the authorities responsible for supervision and rescue.
With regard to any sensitive data contained therein, participants are required to expressly give their consent. The communication, dissemination, or transmission of sensitive data is not permitted.
